Whether his relationship with his childhood friend, Grindelwald, was homosexual or Platonic, how does this diminish or cast any different light on the books millions have enjoyed before this now-commonplace revelation? It's not as if Dumbledore ever groped any of his students. It's never said that he had any relations with any of the faculty or parents. He had an admiration, maybe an infatuation, maybe a love for a childhood friend that many of us have had.
